Andrés Franco is CEO of ISIGENERE, the pioneer company in floating solar systems since 2008 when they designed and installed their first system in Alicante. Andrés was born and raised in Colombia. He studied Systems Engineering and has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business in the United States.
Andrés began his career working in a software startup building systems for large corporations and implementing the first intranet and e-commerce system solutions in Colombia. After his MBA he started working for the consulting firm McKinsey & Company in Spain where he advised clients on strategy and technology projects. He later moved to Aquanima, a company owned by Banco Santander, the biggest bank in the eurozone at the time. In Aquanima provided procurement and cost optimization services and during his time there he led the growth of the company from 1 country and managing 80 million euros of spending, to 11 countries and 8 billion euros of spending.
Now at Isigenere, Andrés is leading its growth at a national and international level in self-consumption and utility-scale projects while continuing to innovate and launch new and better versions of its ISIFLOATING system, recognized for its high quality, durability, safety, adaptability and Low cost of logistics and installation. Since 2008 ISIGENERE has already carried out floating solar projects on 4 continents and in different types of water bodies: large dams, quarry lakes, brackish water lakes, irrigation reservoirs and other types of artificial reservoirs.
